During World War II, Leon Grunte was recruited to join the German air force and later was captured by the Soviet army. After the war ended, Grunte was sent to a displaced persons camp in Germany and later immigrated to the United States. In this clip, Grunte describes his experiences living in a displaced persons camp and moving to America.
